FAQ

Why did you create this class?
Great question! After seeing numerous runners with similar movement restrictions and who also expressed difficulty managing stress, quieting their mind and an interest in yoga we knew this would be the perfect fit! This small group class allows us help more people while still offering an intimate setting that provides more individualized attention than a regular yoga class.

I’m not a runner but I have pain in other places, can I still participate?
YES! While the class will focus on the hamstrings & hips it can still be beneficial for anyone who has pain, especially in the hips, low back or knees.

What is the pace of the class?
This class will focus on restorative longer holds for relaxation and will slowly introduce standing postures to promote balance & strength.

I've never done yoga before, is that okay?
YES! All levels are welcome and modifications will be given to meet you where you're at.

I'm not flexible, can I still participate?
YES! Yoga is one of the best ways to improve flexibility in addition to strength & balance. Modifications will be given in order to meet you where you're at and serve your body's needs.

Can I just do one class?
Yes! Drop Ins are welcomed for $35 per class.

What if I'm sick / out of town / can't make one class?
We hope you are able to make all 4 classes but we are unable to pro-rate for missed classes.

Do I need my own mat or equipment?
Nope, we've got you covered but you're welcome to bring your own mat, block or strap if you would like.

Should I eat before class?
We recommend a light snack 60 minutes before to avoid a full stomach.

Is this physical therapy?
No. While Dr. Norah & Segovia worked together based on patterns Dr. Norah sees in runners and Segovia's yoga expertise to develop this class, this class is not considered physical therapy & you will not be provided with a superbill.

What are Segovia's Credentials?
Segovia has completed the 200hr & 300 hr Yoga Teacher Certifications through YogaWorks and has been teaching for 4 years and practicing herself for 7 years.
