We help you navigate pregnancy & prepare for birth with confidence through our pregnancy & birth prep program.
You have questions and we have answers because "Just listen to your body" isn't enough.
Have you been asking
- Can I lift weights while pregnant?
- Can I work my core during pregnancy?
- How can I prepare my body for delivery & postpartum?
- Do I have to live with these aches & pains?
These are common questions and we’re here to answer these and more! A pelvic floor PT can help you learn how to exercise safely during pregnancy & postpartum, prepare for birth, educate on your pelvic floor and treat any aches and pains that may arise.
The Process
- Evaluation
During your first appointment we review your current exercise routine, medical history, any current injuries or aches & pains and your goals for delivery & postpartum. We then get a baseline of your strength & movement patterns and provide you with an individualized exercise plan.
- Birth Prep
Depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy, we will see you between 3-6 visits during pregnancy. During these visits, we will perform hands-on work to help ensure pelvic alignment, help you progress & modify your strength and core work. We also spend a whole appointment on labor & birth prep where we teach you labor & pushing positions, pain management techniques & how your partner can best support you.
- Postpartum Support
Around 3 weeks after delivery, we’ll review your birth experience, help you manage symptoms, and guide you on safely returning to exercise. Depending on your needs, we usually see moms for 3-6 additional visits postpartum to ensure a smooth recovery.
Common Pregnancy & Postpartum Issues We Treat Include:

- Cesarean Scar Mobilization

What our clients are saying
- Amanda
“I had the best experience with Dr. Norah. I engaged her for pelvic floor therapy while pregnant to prepare for birth, and I also had many sessions in the months following birth to aid in my recovery. She helped me prepare to push and learn what muscles to engage, and my birth went smoothly, which I credit largely to her! She also helped me recover fully and gave me lots of great tips and exercises to ensure my pelvic floor regained its strength but also wasn’t overly tight. I highly recommend her to any pregnant or postpartum women looking for pelvic floor physical therapy!”
- Erica
“I have been going to Norah pre- and postpartum. Having a baby is a huge change to your body. Being able to work on certain muscle groups to aid in childbirth and ensure I didn’t lose a lot of muscle during pregnancy was great. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.. If there is anything that you want to do as a mom to take care of yourself, this is it! And you are in great hands at Functional Phyzio”
