Pelvic Floor dysfunctions are common and affect all genders. However, just because these things are common, doesn’t mean you have to live with it.
The pelvic floor doesn’t function separate from the rest of the body so it shouldn’t be treated that way! We utilize a holistic approach and take into account the way your body moves as a whole in addition to your lifestyle & preferences.
We integrate pelvic health treatment to help our patients not only get back to day to day living but participate in the fitness and activities they love to do most!
We provide you with education on your body and issues in order to provide you with a long term solution.

What our clients are saying
- Kristi
“Dr. Norah and her team are the best! I came to her with what I thought was pelvic floor issues. She used a holistic approach to find out I was misdiagnosed for over twenty years! She not only worked with me during appointments together, but gave me so many tools and techniques to continue on my own. Was hesitant at first because of pricing, but would do it 1000 times over. So worth it and I’m forever grateful”
- Caitlin
“Norah was extremely helpful with pelvic floor therapy after I had my second c-section. She was able to work with me and provide me with workouts to do at home to help build my strength back.”
-Al
“I had been dealing with pelvic floor issues for 3 years and seeing different types of doctors and therapists. Norah has used a truly holistic approach to help me recover. She has prescribed exercises with focused precision to work on global issues affecting my body that contributed to the pelvic floor dysfunction as well as conducted specific treatments directly impacting the pelvic floor and hip region. I feel more resilient now than I have in a long time”
What Does a Session Look Like?
Your first session will start with a comprehensive evaluation that includes a thorough medical and injury history. Next, your Doctor of Physical Therapy will take you through a movement exam which includes strength testing and a joint specific mobility assessment. Depending on your specific issues an internal pelvic floor muscle assessment may be recommended, however this is ALWAYS up to you and we will never force you into an examination or treatment technique you do not feel comfortable with. Finally, you will be thoroughly educated on exactly what is causing & contributing to your issues and your Physical therapist will lay our your individualized plan of care.
Follow up sessions are patient specific but may include hands on work to help relieve pain and restore better movement. This includes treatments such as dry needling, cupping, soft tissue mobilization, active release or myofascial work. You will also be taken through specific exercises to retrain your movement patterns and build strength.
FAQs
Pelvic floor physical therapy is performed by a physical therapist with additional specialized training in the pelvic floor. While we look at your overall strength & movement patterns, we can also perform specific assessments of the pelvic floor and put all the pieces together.
Nope! While performing an internal vaginal and / or rectal assessment gives us information about what exactly is going on at your pelvic floor, this is completely up to you. We will never force you to do something you aren’t comfortable with.
YES! There is still a ton that can be done for treatment even if you don’t want to do an internal assessment.
